Skiing in Ski Amadé
270 modern lifts, 760 kilometres of perfectly groomed, wide pistes and guaranteed snow await you on your skiing holiday in the Wagrain-Kleinarl ski area in Salzburger Land, in Austria’s largest ski area Ski amadé.
With the Flying Mozart cable car, only 500 m away from Oberleiten Apartments, you enter one of the most beautiful ski areas in Austria. Long, excellent pistes of all difficulties whisk you away into a dreamlike winter landscape. With the Panoramalink, which connects Wagrain with Kleinarl, you can reach the Kleinarl-Flachauwinkl-Zauchensee ski area without using the car.
Ski rental & ski schools
In the ski resort of Wagrain there are many excellent ski schools with optimal supervision, where the skills and needs of the participants are catered for in a cosy atmosphere. For a successful day of skiing, you naturally also need the perfect equipment, which you can easily rent directly on site in one of the ski and sports shops.
Free ski bus
We have direct access to the piste or ski route, but the ski bus stop is also not far away (150 m). The free ski bus takes you comfortably to and from the valley stations of the mountain railways in Wagrain. A valid ski pass or a valid Salzburger Sportwelt Card (guest card) is required. In the high season the buses run between the valley stations of the Grafenbergbahn and the Flying Mozart every 10 minutes, in the early and late season every quarter of an hour. So your car can also spend its holiday well parked and protected in our carport.
Further winter sports activities
For our friends of “Nordic” skiing, there are 220 km of cross-country skiing trails of various levels of difficulty in Wagrain-Kleinarl and the surrounding Sportwelt resorts. As the entry point to the 50 km long Tauern Trail, Wagrain offers you unforgettable cross-country skiing experiences through easy and varied terrain. A very special cross-country skiing experience is offered by the hiking trail to Kleinarl and the Jägersee landscape conservation area. Decide for yourself, based on your fitness and technique, which of the individual cross-country sections will turn your ski day into a holiday highlight.
On more than 20 kilometres of cleared winter hiking trails you can enjoy the deeply snow-covered forests and the unique winter landscape. Through the sparkling snow you will experience winter romance and pure relaxation. If you need a little more action, the best thing to do is toboggan back down to the valley after the ascent. The Kleinarler Hütte offers exactly this experience, a two-hour ascent to the hut and then a 6.5-kilometre-long natural toboggan run – this ensures fun for the whole family.
An ice skating rink and a curling rink are only 500 m away from our flats and provide a welcome change during your winter holiday. As an alternative to normal alpine skiing, snow biking and ski touring are also offered in Wagrain. Building igloos together is particularly popular with families with children.
